I called Pioneer today, they said to take it to a local service dealer to have some chip or modification done. I called the local service and they told me that they can fix that problem with the modification. They've had other units come in before. Apparently the modification "should cure the lip sync problem" I think I may still try to exchange it for the pan 120 or sonys330.
