DVD Progressive E.T.A. ??

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; MSN 2.5; Windows 95):

Anyone heard anything about the release of the first progressive scan DVD models?? I'm going to give my current DVD player to my father, who has become completely dissatisfied with his VCR after seeing "Ronin" and "Enemy of the State" on DVD!!
