Sony KP53V75 now or wait?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98):

I can get a pretty good deal on this unit ($2000 delivered)....with it being the insides of the '98 XBR, I think a good set.

Would the '00 V series be worth waiting for?

Any help would be appreciated.
