I thought about splitting the premium signals and the basic signals. So my TV will act as the tuner for just the non-scrambled (basic) channels. Which will be going into the aux port. So I won't be able to get this in my PIP. And my multi-view feature will show only my basic channels.
As for the Premium channels, I can only go through my cable box, because they're scrambled.
This is way too complicated and doesn't seem to be worth it. I guess Sony forgot to mention that the XBR's great features only work with basic channels and not with Cable.
Hey, but the picture is still great.

Thanks for your help.

P.S. Does anyone know how to improve cable reception. Will an amplifier work? Do I have to upgrade all my coaxial cables to those gold tipped ones (monster cables).
Will that really make a difference?
