Sennheiser makes some great headphones, but they also make some stinkers. I own the 580s myself.

But in the "budget" ranks, I highly suggest you check out the Grados. I believe the SR80s can be had for under $100 and they are a truly excellent phone. Some speak of their being uncomfortable, dont believe them. Once adjusted properly, they are quite comfortable and they are even cooler because they sit on top of the ear rather than surrounding it than the Senns.

Of course, in the REALLY affordable ranks, are the Pro 25s from Radio Shack. Twice a year they go on sale for $19.95 and are quite the steal.
