Bob, I think Eric got you on the right track with the Classe recommendation. I think they would be perfect. I would recommend that you go for the CA150 though. The CA100 just doesnt have as much "juice" as I wish it did and I see a potential for disappointment brewing there with the MLs. John (Classe CA100 owner and former Martin Logan Sequal II owner) : : I need some advice on a good sold state amp that would work well with Martin Logan Areius i's. My pre-amp is a EAD Encore and my amp right now is a Acurus 200x3 for the front. I need suggestions for a smooth sounding amp with bass control and a very deep soundstage. I am in the 2000-3000 price range. : : I spent substantial time demoing a variety of solid state amps to mate with my SL/3's including Krell, Levinson, Acurus, Classe' and McCormick and found that for my listening tastes and equipment that Classe' offered the best sound with M-L speakers for the dollars spent. The sound is a bit laid back in the upper midrange but the soundstage is deep and imaging is very detailed. I purchased a CA-200 (list $2995) but a CA-100 (list $1595) might be adequate for your Aerius', depending on your listening tastes (if home theater is involved you might lean towards the CA-200). I strongly recommend that you demo whatever you decide first in you home with your system if at all possible so as to avoid any disappointment. Good luck shopping!
