Yamaha CR-2020

I bought this receiver over twenty years ago, and it is in need of repairs (rebuild?), but I have an attachment to it. How expensive or difficult would it be to add on a DD decoder? I also have a Yamaha AX830 amp and a Yamaha A-460 amp I could use to drive the surround speakers. Is this worthwhile?
