Your classic old Marantz 2225 will drive a 4 ohm load just fine.

: I have an old Marantz 2225 receiver (the kind that looked like McIntoshes) hooked to two BIG Infinity speakers. They were given to me, so I'm not sure what kind they are, but I'm pretty sure that they are 4 ohm. Is my receiver 4 or 8 ohm? (I lost the manual years ago.) Am I burning out my receiver? It is 25 discreet watts.
