i'm after a new amp for about $650 US. an AMC?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT):
pretty ironic, i posted the topic are the kenwood amps any good. well, that power amp got burnt in a fire last weekend. it was getting serviced.
so i have $1000 Australian to spend on a new amp (about 650 US i think)
i've been told an AMC 2N100-2 is the way to go for the money.
anyone have an opinion please?
