Best amp for Sapphire IIIs

I have always liked the Sapphire III/Golden Tube Audio SE-40 combination. While the Sapphires can handle a great deal more power, when you high pass the Sapphires you will likely be just fine with 40w/ch. Given the number of SE-40s on the used market, you could buy a pair and mono-block them for around $1000.

: Hi, strongly considering ordering Sapphire III and ACI Titan combo. What is recommended amp power rating, and is there a favorite amp to drive these smoothly? Can't quite afford the Conrad Johnson..... Price point would be $800-$1200.
