The absolute best 5 disc players are Teac disc players that were modified by Stan Warren of Supermods. 3 years ago these players created a huge Paridigm shift in regard to great sounding , unbelievable priced digital players. My audiophile buddies and I were all replacing our ultra expensive D/A's and transports, in order to buy this rediculously underpriced overachiever (which Stan accidentaly discovered while he was doing a "try to make the teac sound half decent" modification) . There are a couple used ones in the Audiomart, now that 24/96 is here. Current used prices are under $350!. (Note: I am not a budget minded audiophile neophite. My current systems' total cost exceeds $15,000). Get to know Stan if you want to save a bundle on digital. This man is brilliant.
