Had the unit checked and all's OK except One of the ICs in the Fm section is defective. Shop said that all 4 ICs should be replaced if possible and they also said unit could be used as a fairly good amp. AM, Phono, etc., are all OK.

I'm checking with Sansui and will comb the net for leads. My first thought is to pick up an old unit for parts. The one savior is that I have all the schematics, service manuals, etc., and shop said its no problem to repair if I can find the parts.

I will say one thing about the older electronics, The manuals, schematics, etc., are great though the specs are not as good as the newer units.

I think this in part reflects the repair Vs replace consumer mind set of that time.

It will most likely end up on a shelf in the garage put I figured I would give it a shot.
