MCINTOSH MC 240

Using Mozilla/2.0 (compatible; MSIE 3.02; AK; Windows 95):

 I have the opportunity to buy a Mcintosh MC 240 in good shape. Besides price and collector value considerations, is this a good sounding amplifier? Are there any improvements ( modern parts or other ) resulting in better sound ? Appreciate your comments.
