Power Amp-discharge

Using Mozilla/4.04 [en]C-NECCK (Win95; I):

The problem is definately the power amp.
It is also the capacitors discharging,because the music fades out.
Wonder if i can incorporate the relays internally by tapping a low voltage from the system?Will there be any problems?

: Two thoughts come to mind here. First I want to be sure the amplifier is the culprit - not a preamplifier ahead of it that is discharging while the power amp can still reproduce audio.

: If the problem definitely is the amplifier, I suggest you build an external relay box which would be installed between the amplifier and speakers. The relay coils should be a low voltage type and could be operated by an AC adaptor which would be in a switched outlet elsewhere in the system. I would use a double-throw relay(s) and place a resistor at the normally closed end to allow the amplifier to discharge while the relay has the speaker disconnected. A 10 ohm high wattage resistor (or a 12 volt automotive light bulb) should do the trick.
