Using Mozilla/4.05 [en]C-SBIS-NC404 (Win95; U):
After taking my carver Tfm-42 over 380 watts at 8 ohms to my local shop, for comparison with other amps $1500 or less I found one in that range that clearly had more depth and width, The Arogon 8002 it's only 125 watts at 8 ohms. I listened to Maggies 1.6s, I have 1.5s I use the Adcom gfp 235 as pre front end is all Audio Alclemy,no tone controls you know the type, the have let me take home over a 4 preamps im sure with remotes, thats ok none were as good, I'll get up. the piont source is so good with that big amp You sometimes feel like you could touch the instruments. Now Ive come to what do I like best, more sounds and nuances that Ive ever had before or that feeling of touching, some music not good though, worked in Hi-Fi for years sales and installation but nothing that compared to what Ive owned at home,Full blown fosgate & nht system in the other room for HT. Do I need to keep Both amps will I grow to love the other amp or is it not the right one either, now married with kids and $1500 on the line I need to make the right Decission, I may have to listen to it for 6+ years.
