Picking out a CDR machine
Posted by Dave Tomarchio [IP: 194.128.83.228] on September 08, 1999 at 17:59:28 Hello. I do not know much about CDR machines. I would like to purchase one for the sake of copying CD's onto CDR. My Adcom CD Player uses the DACS on my DC-1. I also have a very high end Sony CD Player that is used in my 2 channel setup with a separate analog preamp. O.K., so now to my questions. I know that many people purchase dual deck CDR Machines for their copying. But since I have high end CD Players, shouldn't I get a single transport CDR Machine to record from my CD Players? So my CD Players will be the source and my CDR Machine will do the recording? Is this setup possible and optimal? What are the disadvantages of this setup vs. having a dual deck? What setup do you recommend? Lastly, what CDR Recorder Machine do you recommend? What features/performance should I look for? Thanks, Dave
