Alex, One point to remember about Sony, is that they can build good equipment. One complaint I hear often is how they do not do so by choice - but the deck you are looking at is still a good piece. Dolby S works great on a deck good enough to be calibrated right. Funny - but the best possible tapes I obtain from my TC-K909ES is without any noise reduction. Yes there is noise, but otherwise it's the best the deck can do. Alan : Alan, : Thank you very much for your ideas. : I looked at the Sony's KA3ES yesterday, I think I'll buy it. The built quality is outstanding and Dolby S exceeds all my expectations. : As for the CD-changer for the car - I did consider it, but because the cassette player does not have CD controls it all makes operating the changer more difficult. Not worth it. : Another side of the issue is that I still have a lot of cassettes at home with my old favorites that I have to play on something. Currently I am using a pretty simple device for it. : Thank you. : Alex.
