Parasound or ATI amp?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt):

I am looking for an Musical amp 2channel or more is fine. I will eventually be upgrading to do hometheater as well, but multiple amps is okay. I am budgeting $2,000-$3,000. What is the most musical amp in that range that will also do good when I upgrade to home theater.
