I may keep my old speakers. They were made by DBX when they were still making speakers. They are the "soundfield V" they are five way floorstanding speakers.

budgetwise I would like to get away with under 2K per component.(amp pre-amp or integrated = 1 component)I don't need a tuner...I rarely listen to radio.

I am considering the Ah! Tjoeb cd player to save a few bucks(People write reviews of this thing like it will solve world hunger...)But it kills me to buy equipment without pre-listening...

Any suggestions to upgrade speakers would also be appreciated, but the first purchase will be in the Amp.
