Bi Wire Hookup

Posted by Martin [IP: 63.23.54.29] on October 26, 1999 at 01:30:47
Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; MSN 2.6; Windows 95; DigExt):

I just bought DM620 and each speaker has four screw downs in the back with a gold bridge connecting the two + and -'s. My Yamaha m65 amp has A,B,and C speaker sets, so I can connect 6 speakers at 8,4,or 2 ohm.

I took off the gold bridges, connected one set of + and - on the top, one set on the bottom on one end of my wires...on the other end, I twisted the two + and two - into one + and -, so the amp reads the wire set as one set of wires.

My speakers seem to play very low, and I do not thinnk the bottom drivers are working, even though I put the amp on 4 ohm load. Should I put the gold bridges back on, buy a dedicated set of bi-wire set? recommendations? I would appreciate the help, Martin.
